A confession from my heart

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth or given up on blogging but I have been super-duper extra busy. Within the next 3 weeks I have 2 craft shows, a wedding that I have been helping style/coordinate. and 2 sweet little Halloween costumes to make. So that's part of the reason I've been a little lot slack around here.
The other part is that I'm making a few changes in this life of mine. I'm taking my life back if you will. Sounds a little dramatic but it's true. For some time now, this blog has been a priority before pretty much everything that it shouldn't. If I'm being honest I've made scheduling posts and editing pictures a priority over my husband, my children, and most shamefully God. I'm sure you think I'm a horrible person, but I promise I'm not. It's just really easy to get caught up in something that you enjoy doing.
God's word says that anything you put before Him is an idol. And well apparently I have quite a few of them. I can feel a deep stirring inside of me that can only come from the Lord. He's working on me. Changing me for the better. He's showing me how to be a better wife and mother and how to soak up every little blessing I've been given.
This doesn't mean that I'm closing up shop or the blog. But this does mean that you will be hearing less of me while I give Him and my family more. I mean honestly, it's not like y'all are hangin' on my every word and some of my favorite blogs only post weekly. So hopefully from here on out what you'll be getting from me will be a well thought out, quality post.

  1. I love that you wrote this! I think it's super important to remember priorities in life because you never want to look back with regrets. Your blog, your shop, those things aren't your life, your family, your faith, everything else is. It's totally OK to take breaks and reflect on where your life is going. It's totally normal. I hope you and your darling family have a wonderful weekend!
