Sweet Tweets {DIY}

How cute are these?

And simple too!

All you need is pretty paper, paper clips, and a little glue.

Trace 2 little birds on your pretty paper and cut them out.

Bend a paper clip so that it makes a hook. Then sandwich the paper clip between the two birds. Oh and be sure to add plenty of glue.

Mine are hanging from these sweet little branches that I found in a cow pasture! And they look so cute that I think I'll leave them even after Valentine's Day has passed.

My Heart

So this weekend I decided to do a little project with my sweet pea that I knew would maker her little heart happy!

So here it is...

Step 1:: Spill the crayons.

Right after you peel them and break them into pieces of course!

Step 2:: Fill a heart shaped muffin pan with the broken pieces. I snagged mine at Target in the dollar section near the front!

Steps 3:: Bake at 250 for about 10 minutes. Just until melted.

 

Step 4:: While your waiting...make tap shoes and dance!

 

Step 5:: Cool and COLOR!!

A Place for Your Headbands {DIY}

This DIY is not amazing...but it's pretty practical especially if you love headbands as much as I do!

All you need is an oatmeal can, or in my case a formula can. I have like a bazillion of these under my kitchen sink. I kept telling myself, "you can use these for something!" Well...I found my something.

Step 1: Cut some pretty fabric to fit your can.

Step 2: Glue it on!

Step 3: Add headbands!

Simple and sort of cute! My little girl loves it.

What's Your Favorite App?

Getting an iPhone is basically one of the best things that has ever happened to me! Not really, but it is way more than cool.



The first thing I did was download the Instagram App. It's pretty much the sole reason that I bought the iPhone. Seriously. I use it all. the. time. It has lots of cool filters and you can also follow others.

I also use Labelbox. It's this cute little app that allows you to put little labels on your pics. See...

Red Stamp is another fun one. This app allows you to send postcards, e-cards, or texts. All you do is choose a premade design, insert a photo from your phone and boom!

Of course I have the Pinterest App. Duh!

And the Etsy App, Facebook, Twitter, and HootSuite which allows me to manage all of my social networks from one place!

 

I also have Urban Spoon and Groupon!

And the best part is....they're all free-fifty-free! I'd rather spend my money on food and fabric.

The Best Pinterest Inspired Santa Gift...Ever!

My girl loves some dress up! Actually loves is sort of an understatement. From Cinderella to Olivia, she's in costume all day, every day. So when it came time to talk to Santa...we knew exactly what to ask for.

I wanted a place for her dresses to be displayed, shoes to sit, and jewels hang. So of course I searched pinterest. What else? Here's what I found...

Cute huh? It's actually a re-purposed dresser. However, a week before Christmas we still had no dresser. Soooo my father-in-law came to the rescue and this  is what he came up with.

After a few coats of paint, I fell in love. It was perfect. Just what I wanted. Santa did an excellent job filling it with sparkly dresses and tutu's, little plastic heels, feathered purses, of course tiara's and jewels! Everything that a princess would need.

She was absolutely uh-mazed. Wouldn't even open a gift without first becoming Strawberry Shortcake. And the best part...it's something that she can treasure forever and maybe even share with her little princess some day.

Finding Inspiration

Today I'm spending the day out and about with my two sweet peas! Mission inspiration! I often find myself piled up on the couch "pinning," searching for inspiration all over the web. But honestly, I think sometimes you just need to get out and open your eyes! So today just the three of us {hubs has basketball} are off on an inspiring adventure. We have a few planned stops.

Goodwill...where I scored this pillow yesterday.



Uh.Huh. 7 bucks. Apparently Goodwill buys from Target. Who knew? So we're off to the others around town.

The Screen Door. A local place that I can imagine is similar to Heaven. I'll be sure to share via instagram{autumnmb}. I'm looking for a few tiny things to fill this.



The book store. Ella Cate's fav place. I finished this.
